I, Adam Love, am a Classical Conversations graduate and soon-to-be student of Patrick Henry College. Though I never officially competed in Stoa, I am an honorary alumni (source).
I absolutely would have joined Stoa… if it wasn’t already my senior year when I learned about it. But even though I can’t compete myself, I have become invested in the community, made countless friends, and been to many tournaments as a spectator or judge.
I firmly believe that Parliamentary debate is the ultimate Stoa event because of its critical thinking, clash, and lively temperament (or at least it should have those things).
Most importantly I am a devoted Christian and praying that this project will bless many Stoaites.

The idea of a Parli knocking board started sometime during NITOC 2021. To be honest, I don’t remember who originally suggested such a thing, but I know for certain it was a joke… something that would never be taken seriously…
A few months later I started a new job where I learned to heat-transfer vinyl stickers onto wood, and after testing it on a piece of scrap wood, the idea came back to me…
I decided to chase this project just because I thought it would be fun and I was curious if I could actually make decent quality Parli Boards.

I offered to give out the first set of Parli Boards for free, since I had not yet proven the satisfaction of my customers, and I announced that I’d be giving them out at the Saint Nicholas Showdown and Holly Jolly 2021 tournaments in Washington. I ended up receiving about 20 requests for personalized Parli Boards, and created a board with each unique design.
I was very pleased with the final products, as were the recipients, so I decided to take Parli Boards a step further.
